Shitika Studios
Shitika is an Indian/Belgian jewellery designer, now currently based in Oslo! She makes bold, rough and raw jewellery pieces that can be worn by both men and women. She admires combining masculine elements and feminine characteristics together. At the same time, she is very inspired by nature's rough qualities and futuristic elements. All the jewellery pieces are handcrafted in her little studio in Oslo. So every piece is made with passion, love and motivation. Shitika mainly handcrafts the pieces in Silver, sometimes in combination with gemstones which she loves playing around with.
Hva er grunnen til at du startet med akkurat dette? I have a strong vision and determination, and I feel starting my own business was the way to express and showcase my creativity and passion. I wish to share my artistic journey and practise of jewellery making with everyone.
Hva er det beste med å være sin egen sjef? I would say being able to set your own times for specific projects and giving yourself the freedom to enjoy the journey along the way.
En funfact om prosessen? A lot of pieces sometimes come out of mistakes or failures. They come out of ideas that look different than the vision but turn out to be so beautiful I have to keep and share them.
Favorittsteder i Oslo? I admire Sorgenfri as they represent many other artists in different fields such as ceramics, or product design. Their space is welcoming and inspirational. I also admire Stikling- a plant store that also welcomes artistic workshops.
