My name is Lydia, I have a small company called Lyd's Gluten-Free. Where I provide cafes, restaurants and catering companies in Oslo with delicious, high quality gluten-free baked goods. From cakes and sweet treats to a selection of breads, pitas and seeded crackers. I also cater to personal orders and have regular pop-ups and events. I want to provide a variety of baked goods that everyone can enjoy and support independent businesses.

Hva er grunnen til at du startet med akkurat dette? I've been a coeliac for over 18 years and have always loved to bake. I saw a gap in the market in Oslo in terms of the cafes and restaurants regularly stocking tasty good quality gluten-free products and so that kicked off the idea. I love having pop-ups and doing the personal catering orders so I jump at those opportunities.

Hva er det beste med å være sin egen sjef? Choosing the direction that the business goes in. It's definitely longer days but I love being able to decide how the days look and bring good energy to these busy baking days. Doing the pop-ups also allows me to be creative and try out different recipes and flavors. I also get to work with my boyfriend who is a huge resource to Lyd's.

En funfact om produktet? The most common responses I get on the products: "There's no way these are gluten-free" That's good enough for me to hear!

Favorittsteder i Oslo? Favorite coffee shops really are the ones that I work with: Dapper Bar, Kuro, Havens Kafe. They have the best atmosphere, great coffee and such nice places to hang out in. To eat I love easy places like Katla, Jimmy's, Skaal, Kolonialen, Le Benjamin that have straight up good food.
